General
The orchestra body shape of the Guild OM-120 is sometimes referred to as a Triple-O because of its deep curves. A similar form to a classical guitar, in terms of size, the orchestra shape lies somewhere between a parlor and dreadnought. It's this that gives the OM-120 its distinctly defined sound and mass of presence, while the full mahogany construction helps to refine the mid and high range frequencies for a brilliantly balanced, round and deep acoustic sound.
The Guild M-120: For the Strummer and Finger-Picker
The fretboard is fairly flat with a radius of 16-inches while a comfortable C-profile neck provides the classic playability expected of older, more traditional Guild models. The string nut sits at 44.5mm wide, making this model familiar to both strummers and finger-picking players and the rosewood fretboard maintains excellent balance and adds the bass-rich undertones this kind of wood produces. To finish, the body has been coated in a glittering transparent high-gloss.
The Guild Westerly Collection
Guild have been building high-quality instruments since 1953 and their acoustic guitars hark back to earlier, vintage models. Each of the guitars in the Westerly series feature solid woods and are equipped with a number of refined, luxurious details. The headstock is always adorned with the iconic Guild logo inlay with Chesterfield emblem and all of the guitars feature a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard. The Westerly series offers high-grade acoustic instruments at an attainable price and each guitar comes with a compatible Guild Polyfoam case.

Aanrader !! Prachtige sound, compact en licht gitaar met een vol ,warm geluid. Je kunt er heel ingetogen en zacht mee spelen terwijl je bij meer forte een ongelooflijk volume kunt bereiken. Mooi vintage uiterlijk. Voor deze prijs heeft de Guild M120 niet veel cuncurentie.
IK heb een voorliefde voor de sound van gitaren met mahogany zij en achterkant t.o.v. rosewood.
Vandaar zocht ik een complete mahogany gitaar ook het bovenblad. Veel aanbod en veel in een matte finish dat vind ik niks. Bij mij is nummer 1 looks van een gitaar en deze OM120 met zijn glossy afwerking is een plaatje om te zien.
De sound is heerlijk warm en mellow vergeleken bij mijn mahogany gitaar met adirondac spruce bovenblad. Behoorlijk veel volume. En een uitzonderlijk goede sustain hij blijft zingen.
Bespeelbaarheid is uitstekend comfortabele hals en door deze grootte voelt hij bij mij erg goed. Dreadnoughts vind ik te lomp voelen voor mij niet comfortabel.

Deze gitaar heeft een volledige mahony houten body, waardoor de klank prachtig warm en vol is. De gitaar reageert heel goed op nuances in je aanslag waardoor hij heel ingetogen kan klinken met een prachtige volle warme klank, maar als je een met een flatpick gaat spelen en de gitaar harder aanslaat komt de toon op een prachtige manier tot leven met een heel rijk midden waarbij de snaren goed afzonderlijk doorklinken.
Bespeelbaarheid is ook dik in orde, zelf viel ik vooral voor de iets bredere topnut waardoor je net iets meer ruimte hebt om je vingers kwijt te kunnen. De hals ligt comfortabel in de hand en heeft een vrij standaard c profiel.
Wat ik vooral fascinerend vind aan deze gitaar is dat hij je elke keer weet te verrassen met zijn geluid. Door subtiele veranderingen in de aanslag kun je enorm veel verschillende geluidsnuances uit de gitaar halen.
Afwerking en bouwkwaliteit zijn dik in orde.
Guild heeft echt indruk op mij gemaakt met deze gitaar en ik zal in de toekomst zeker nog vaker gitaren van hen uitproberen.
